Senior Data Scientist

About The Role:

BeeHero maximizes crop yields through precision pollination, combining sophisticated machine learning algorithms with low-cost sensors to stimulate full output potential during peak pollination cycles. You will be part of the team that brings BeeHero its core value and be a key player in its success. On the day-to-day, you will analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns in the beehive regarding hive state, health, nutrition, and much more.

Alternating between individual projects and team efforts, you will: Plan bee-hive and crop-pollination in-field data acquisition, build predictive models and algorithms from this data, and finally develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. Most importantly, you will work in an accepting community full of creative, fun-loving individuals such as yourself, and immerse yourself in the enchanted world of honeybees.

Requirements:

Required skills

• 4+ years of practical data science experience
• Experience delivering end-to-end data science projects
• Experience with distributed systems and databases, cloud-based software stacks
• Practical programming experience in Python & pandas
• Self-starter, able to lead projects and initiatives

Desirable techniques and knowledge

• Experience in automation and deployment
• Acquaintance with the AWS stack
• Signal processing 
• Time series analysis
• Anomaly detection 
• Neural network development
• Earth sciences
• Agriculture and/or agricultural field research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
